Manage Multiple emails with Gmail

Google Mail DashboardIf you’re like me, you have more than one email account. Managing them all can be a problem, but Google offers an easy way to view, send and receive – all from one dashboard.

Gmail Dashboard Setup

First of all, you will need a master gmail account. You can do this yourself; you don’t need a network administrator. Follow along, I’ll help you set this up. If you don’t have a gmail account, set one up here: http://www.mail.google.com

 

 

1. Click on the Settings Gear Box

  • Select Settings from the menu
  • Go to Accounts / Import
  • You can easily import an email address from Yahoo, AOL etc. Just follow the instructions

 

2. Setup a Brand New email Address

Once you have your email address from your web host provider, ex. sally@flowerstore.com go to:

  • Accounts / Import
  • Add a Pop3 Mail Account You Own
  • Enter the email address
  • User name is the full name of your email: sally@flowerstore.com
  • Enter password from your web host
  • The Pop Server is mail.flowerstore.com (always mail. Before your domain name)
  • Set the port to 110 (this it the default and the standard)
  • Enter the name you want visible when sending and receiving emails
  • Check send through gmail

3. Verify Process

  • Your web provider will need to send you the password sent by gmail or provide you with access to their email system.
  • Simply insert the password provided

4. Your New email

  • Click on Compose
  • Now you can use any of the emails in your dashboard to send an email.
